Release Date:2023-12-15 16:50:32

Paper can wrap around fire and resist electric shock. The reporter learned from Hunan University that Professor Wang Jianfeng from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Hunan University has recently developed a high-end mica based nanopaper material.

Professor Wang Jianfeng used aramid microfiber and mica as raw materials to prepare mica based nanopapers. Its fracture strain capacity is 4 to 240 times that of all shell like thin film materials reported in current literature, its toughness is 6 to 220 times that of all shell like thin film materials reported in current literature, its high electrical breakdown strength reaches 164KV per millimeter, and its thermal decomposition temperature reaches 565 ℃. Its performance greatly exceeds various mica based insulation materials abroad.

At present, Professor Wang Jianfeng has applied for an invention patent for this "papermaking technology". The relevant research results are published in the authoritative international journal in the field of nanomaterials, American Chemical Society Nano.
